Your principal and interest payment on a fixed rate mortgage will not change from month to month. If your rate is fixed, you can be guaranteed that your monthly payment, excluding your escrow for taxes and insurance will not change.
The normal terms on a fixed rate mortgage are 40, 30, 20, 15 or 10 year terms.
The fixed rate conventional is valid on loan amounts to $417,000.00. Anything over this is considered a "jumbo" loan.
